Take the boardwalk up the hill and stroll right alongside the creek babbling down the hill. The spring run off has the surrounding plants showing off their vibrant violet and green colours.
This is taken from the Ancient Forest (Chun T’oh Whudujut), the world’s only known inland temperate rainforest. The trees in the newly minted Provincial Park are over 250 years old, with many being over 1000 years old. The forest was slated to be logged, but concerned citizens attracted attention and in 2016 the park was saved forever by achieving status as a Provincial Park.
