The first painting in my collection, Otipemisewak, it tells the story of the Anishinaabe people through time. The ancient prophecy, the Seven Sacred Fires prophecy is something that we can use to understand history and gives us a guide for the future.
To read more about this painting and the Seven Sacred Fires prophecy, I've written a blog where I go into detail OR you can watch my YouTube video and see me paint it.
Painting #1 in the collection, Otipemisewak (2022).
