COVID Safety Protocols

Painting parties have changed, as has everything, as the result of the pandemic. Please read all rules, whether you are a guest or a host. 

We take the health and safety of our participants and their families very seriously.

Please stay home if you are sick. 

The following safety protocols are non-negotiable and all must be adhered to. Failure to adhere to the safety protocols risks your ticket/party being cancelled without reimbursement and without prior notice. By booking a party, you agree to all adhere to all rules below, as well as any others that may be agreed upon at the time of booking. 

If you would prefer a virtual party, without such rules, we can accommodate that. We are not responsible for the safety of the attendants of any virtual parties. 

Government Health Mandate

a) Masks are now mandatory until further notice

b) Proof of vaccination will be required after Sept 13th, 2021. 


Seating

a) Seating may be no more than 50% of the capacity of the space. (ie. if the dinner table seats 6, we may have no more than 3 guests)

b) Guests must be placed as far from each other as is possible in the space. 

c) Guests may not switch spaces with other guests. 

d) No spectators. Any people in the house who are not participating must be in another room. 

 

Illness 

a) All guests are required to cancel if they have any signs of illness, including but not limited to: coughing, sneezing, fever, chills, vomiting, positive COVID test. 

b) If a guest cancels because of illness at least 24 hrs before the party they will be provided with a full refund or a full ticket for their next party, if they cancel the day of, they are eligible 50% refund or a full ticket to their next party. If they cancel during/after the party they are not eligible for a refund. 

c) Showing up at a party when ill results in an immediate cancellation of the entire party without reimbursement. 

d) In the event that a host is ill, we offer non-hassle rebooking. If we are unable to rebook, we offer 50% refund. 

e) In the event that the teacher is ill, all tickets will be rescheduled or fully refunded. 

 

Cleanliness

a) Sanitization of the painting area is the responsibility of the host. They must provide a clean surface to paint on, as well as a clean sink for the purposes of cleaning brushes and filling water. 

b) Cleaning of the painting party supplies is the responsibility of the painting party teacher. All supplies will be washed with soap and water before the party. 

Food

a) Food should not be part of the painting party experience. Hosts are responsible to ensure that any eating is done outside of the scheduled painting party times, including set up and clean up. 

b) Drinking should be done away from the other guests. 

 Masks

a) Masks are optional at this time, but will be worn by the teacher. 

Space

a) Due to social distancing, the teacher is unable to take your brush and paint on your canvas for you. 

Immunocomprimised 

If any guest has an immunocompromised or high risk person in their circle or is immunocompromised themselves, we will adhere to additional safety measures. If you or one of your guests meet this criteria, please let the teacher know at the time of booking. 

a) Fully masked at all times with medical masks

b) Sanitization of all spaces before the party. This includes (but is not limited to): table surfaces, sinks, chairs, brushes, cups, canvas and easel. 

c) No food or drinking in the painting space. Drinking water may be permitted in a space away from all other people. Hand washing must be observed before and after drinking. 

d) All guests must come in clean clothes (have not been worn around town). 

e) Social Distancing of 2m must be observed at all times

f) Outdoor parties encouraged - we have tents and tables available for a small rental fee ($15 for tent, $5 per table), may be subject to rebooking in the event of inclement weather. 

e) Any additional measures which may be necessary. 

    eg. 1) shorter parties - no breaks or waiting in between the steps. A quicker pace to reduce time spent in proximity to each other. 

 

Rebooking 

Other reasons that parties may be rebooked: excess heat or cold (over 30 degrees C, or under -30 degrees C. or weather (eg. extreme snowfall or rainfall warning). 

If a party is rebooked for inclement weather, there will be no rebooking fees and will be done at the convenience of the host. If a guest is unable to attend the rebooked party, they will be given a gift certificate for the full amount.

 

Rebooking is easy. Host gets priority for whichever dates work best. All tickets are rolled over without any extra work.
