Northern Lights cover the sky and illuminate a solitary dogsledder making his way across the snow-covered meadows of Saskatchewan. This is a painting of my great-grandfather. He was a dogsledder who would carry supplies to remote communities. He was a residential school survivor and a lot of the trauma in our family can be traced back to him. In this painting, I set him free.
The seventh painting in my collection, Otipemisewak.
