Fave Paintings Sold in 2024

January 05, 2025

2024 Reflections

2024 was one of my favourite years for what I produced. I am so proud of the work that I created.

Being an artist and a mother means that every single painting I produce requires sacrifice of some kind. I have a young daughter and animals, so I'm constantly being distracted. To remain focused, I need to sacrifice time with my family.

The thing is, that making art is one of the absolute loves of my life. So, if I'm going to give up time with my family, it had better be worth it. I consider these paintings definitely worth it.

Thanks to all my collectors, who have found themselves so in love with these paintings that they took them home. I could talk at length about each and every one of these paintings. But for now, let me just be proud of my work.

You see, I learned a few years ago that if I don't take time to be proud of my work, it will never come. No one is going to stop you from the productivity train to force you to recognize your work. No amount of awards or validation will ever get through to that place inside. You have to make space to be proud of your own hard work.

So, that's what I'm doing right now. I'm being unapologetically proud of the hard work I did last year. I'm very much looking forward to see what I make in 2025. I will have an exhibition at the Art Gallery, so I have a feeling it is going to be a good year.
