As Canada Post has gone on strike during my prime shipping times, here is how we will be handling the temporary disruption.
1) Delivering in town - For residents of Prince George, I will be delivering packages. Expect a couple day wait for delivery.
2) Lettermail shipping delayed. Lettermail is currently free - lettermail packages out of PG will be delayed until the strike is over. If for some reason you want to upgrade your shipping, reach out via email.
If the strike has not been resolved by mid Nov, I will reach out and see if people would like to upgrade shipping so that they don't miss their Christmas presents.
3) Purolator - Orders which choose Purolator at checkout will be mailed out as they come in.
4) Pickup - pickup is available by email. I don't enjoy my address being out in the ether, so if you need this option, please reach out. This might be a good option for people who live out of town.
5) American Orders - as a result of the tariffs, each American order will be emailed with an additional fee. The fee is calculated by the United States, and there is currently no way for us to show the fee ahead of time. It is estimated to be 30% of the cost of the item (eg. a $100 item has a $30 tariff + shipping). Failure to respond to an email will result in the order being cancelled.
Please note, I am just one person and next-day shipping is not something that is something within my capacity. I always appreciate your patience as shipping takes time.
To Canada Post workers - thank you for what you do for us. We value your work.
